The Watson Twins Evanston Concert reviews
AMAZING Live Concert, too short though!
"I attended this unforgettable concert with 3 of my friends, and I'm 18!
I had a great view of the whole stage, and I had relatively good seats (Right Cntr Orch 15 rows back).
V.V. Brown had a great voice. I had never heard of her before, but it was nice to have a great singer instead of another rock band! She came on at 7:30, the time listed on the ticket. Owl City was sub par IMHO. I just didn't get into it, his songs sound too similar to one another. It wasn't too bad live, plus I knew it had to be the final song of the two hours of opening acts. Fireflies was Owl City's best hit. After owl city, it took the crew a half hour to do a stage change. The Watson Twins came on at 9:00. I envied those who finally took their seats at 9:30 and spared themselves the dragging Owl City.
PNC was great too. Not too hard to park and find everything; great sound and lights in the venue. We bought knockoff T-shirts from a vendor walking around the parking lot for $10/shirt, which was great! The T-shirts were cheaply made, but they fit and the design on front and back wasn't bad at all. Definitely not official merch, but we didn't feel it was worth $35/shirt in the venue for very similar shirts. Pizza in the venue was lame, chicken tenders were typical. Eat before you go! $6 for iced tea, $6 for a Pizza slice, $8.50 for Chicken Tenders and Fries, $4 for a water.
I really enjoyed every band member's performance. The whole band looked like they were having a great time. It sucked when Jimmy Valentine (lead guitarist) was being introduced by Adam, and his amp stopped working just before he was going to show off his jazzy guitar solo skills. He laughed it off but I wish that didn't happen! The whole band seemed like cool guys. Simply unforgettable. I would absolutely see them again!"
